A little weekend ritual in a jar. Grass-fed tallow keeps this scrub nourishing where most sugar scrubs just strip, so skin feels soft and cushioned afterward — not tight. It takes about fifteen minutes and almost no special equipment.

Fine sugar gently smooths away dry, flaky surface skin, while tallow and jojoba replace what harsher scrubs strip away. You rinse to softness instead of tightness — polished and cushioned at once.
Gently melt the tallow in a double boiler over low heat until just liquid.
Stir in the jojoba oil and let it cool until it firms to the softness of soft butter.
Fold in the sugar (and vanilla, if using) until evenly combined.
Spoon into your jar; it firms up a little as it settles.
Keep it in a clean, dry jar away from heat and scoop with a dry spoon — water in the jar dissolves the sugar and shortens its life. It stays fresh for about three months.
Making your own is a joy — but on the busy weeks, ours is whipped, jarred, and ready. Same grass-fed tallow, none of the dishes.
